About

This blog is an offshoot of my cooking blog — cookingforthetimechallenged.wordpress.com

Given my food blog, I thought a coffee klatch is a perfect jumping off point for sharing my stories, creative ideas, experiences and insights into life that are not related to cooking.

For those who may not know, a coffee klatch is a group of friends who meet regularly for conversation, story telling and creativity, usually while drinking coffee.

For years I have felt that I could write a book on self care and spiritual growth though challenges and adversity.

I work in mental health. The stories and struggles of my patients are very inspiring. There are exceptions of course but I feel that through their struggles my patients have polished their souls and they are spiritually luminescent.

I am married and I also have 2 children with special needs.

I pray and meditate daily and I have a specific writing exercise that over time has given me the resources to see the good in every situation and focus on gratitude.

I am convinced that reality is mostly about our perceptions. Our thoughts are so powerful.

It is not only what happens to us but the story around what happens to us that shapes our perceptions and creates our reality.

We can transform our reality by focusing on what we have to be grateful for, looking for the good, acknowledging our strengths, appreciating what we have, and having a strong, active personal spiritual practice.

Please join me for storytelling, creativity and observations over coffee (or not).

Welcome!

Carol
